How to Make an HDR Picture From Just One Image

I try to bring an artistic feeling to my photography and in each picture I strive to translate what is in my mind and my spirit, to tell a story through the image. For this post, I chose a picture from a trip I took to Marrakesh last year.   As I had never been to Africa before, this was a very special trip to me, and Marrakesh is beautiful city that’s erupting with colors, textures and life…ideal for travel photographers.

I would like to bring the dimension and the textures that the camera range naturally doesn’t allow into my pictures, and the way to extend the dynamic range is through my post production work.  In this video I give you some tips on how I bring these cinematographic feelings, textures, tonal contrasts and increased depth to a picture. I found that Nik’s HDR Efex Pro 2 is a great plug-in that can help me to achieve this in a quick and easy way.
